The dilemma each company is confronted with at one time or another is whether to hire «ready-made» top managers from the workforce or go for «home-grown», selecting, training and promoting people from among their own employees.

People recently hired from the workforce need to adjust to the business and get used to one another. Company's own employees usually have a narrower perspective and are oftentimes enculturated in their accustomed stereotypes of team interaction, which are not necessarily the most productive ones. All top managers are usually bright and accomplished personalities, who are not always receptive to feedback or the idea of successful cooperation. Working with them, we must deal with many intricate aspects of human psychology, including ambitions, risk, creativeness, leadership, the entire personality scope. Many of these qualities do not yield easily and are hard to change and develop.

In this case, conventional training programs are not your best bet. What is needed is non-standard and often unique programs simultaneously ensuring a developing and a teamwork building effect.
